60% off The Witcher 3 GOTY • up to 85% off The Witcher games and more

Join us in celebrating 10 years of The Witcher game series, with deals on The Witcher games and more of our most beloved RPGs up to 85% off!
Hard to believe it's already been 10 years since we first saw the white-haired monster slayer stumble his way to Kaer Morhen and our hearts, but it's a well-known fact that time doesn't flow naturally for a Witcher.

Here's what's worth looking out for this week:

• Get 60% off The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game of the Year Edition, the lowest price and biggest discount so far

• Everything else The Witcher, including the original two games and all The Witcher 3 expansions from 50-85% off

Bethesda classics including Fallout and Fallout 2 (-50%), Fallout 3 and New Vegas (-40%), as well as The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind and Oblivion up to -40%

• The Risen series from Piranha Bytes, creators of Gothic and ELEX, up to -80%

The sale on The Witcher games will last until October 25, 10 AM UTC. The remaining RPG deals will be available until October 23, 10PM UTC.
I have some questions about The Witcher 3 GOTY:

- Does the GOTY edition already contain all of the DLCs, or do you still have to get the Free DLC program on top of it?
- Can you select DLCs individually and choose to disable / not install some of them for now? Would there be any reason to?
- How do you handle "alternative looks" and such? Where do you activate/de-activate them in-game?
- It seems my system (Core i5-4430 3GHz, GTX660) barely meets the minimum requirements. Do you think I would be able to run TW3 without serious issues nevertheless?

To answer your questions briefly:

- Yes
- Yes/No
- In the menu of the game
- Don´t know, can´t say; try to find a benchmark on the youtube with similar setup to yours and look for average FPS, then decide yourself.
I'm new to this, because I usually run "good old games," and my i7 860 has always been more than enough for them.

But Witcher 3 - it asks for something greater than the 860. I will run it at lower settings, but does anyone know if the system can get damaged if this runs at 100% CPU and overheats?

Most modern CPUs throttle their speed if the temperature rises above a certain threshold, precisely to protect from potential damage. Should the temperature rise even higher, the CPU will shut down.
Utilizing a CPU (or GPU) under full load for a very long time will be detrimental to its health, but you shouldn't have any sudden damages, unless the temperature detector is faulty.
Thanks. I'm thinking of trying it at moderate settings while some kind of benchmark utility is running in the background, which will tell me about CPU use.

Tarhiel: - Yes
Do you mean:
- "Yes, the GOTY version already includes the free DLC", or
- "Yes, the Free DLC Program has to be installed on top of it?"

With inadequate cooling.
