They published Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale and Chantelise: A Tale of Two Sisters on GOG once; both were removed at the time of https://www.gog.com/forum/general/announcement_regarding_few_games_being_removed_from_gog/page1 and never returned. I don't think we ever found out why they weren't brought back, so the rights release could mean anything.

(I should say that this Twitter/X account is the only source for this, but it's being picked up elsewhere so I presume it's worth posting about.)

I messaged Andrew Dice like a day before he passed away, asking if the Recettear and co. could be returned. RIP. Would be nice for them to come back. After some time has passed I'll try to make contact with EasyGameStation.

RIP Andrew Dice. I got Recettear when it was on the gog store and i enjoyed that game more than i expected, still play it sometimes.
Also got Chantelise on gog before the removal since gog changed payment location and he didn't renew the contract for some reason since changing payment location made the contract get canceled or something.

I wondered about Fortune Summoners, but http://lizsoft.jp hasn't been updated in five years. (And from looking around the Steam pages, it seems the English version published by Carpe Fulgur may have been missing some compatibility patches compared to the self-published Japanese version.)

RIP, that's really unfortunate news. As I recall even Carpe Fulgur weren't able to get in contact with Lizsoft for years, and the most recent version of Fortune Summoners (retail and JP Steam) has additional new content that was never translated to English.
