hedwards: I don't think anybody expected these games to be popular so many years in the future, so the licenses weren't extended out this far.

Mr.Mumbles: *looks at all of Codemasters recent dead games* Yeeeeeeah, I don't think that's it. It probably has more to do with publishers not wanting to shell out for a permanent license, which might come with unreasonable prices, or license holders not wanting to grant such; all the better for the latter to cash in repeatedly. Perhaps both. *shrug*
How is that any different from what I said?

hedwards: I hadn't thought about that, the only racing games I've ever played involved completely fictional tracks. Or were public domain like San Francisco.

I'd love to see Distance, the rush series, Daytona USA and Big Red Racing come to GOG. Sadly, that's probably never going to happen.
Big Red has a fair chance to come to GOG. The developer is part of Eidos now and the publisher is Square Enix Europe. Someone would just have to nudge them to remind them they even own the property. (I'd honestly not blame them for forgetting, seeing as the game was passed over by reviewers at the time.)
Car games would be amazing here and I do agree that there is a severe lack of racing games on here. Especially, the newer ones.

That being said, it is also very easy to see why they have yet to come (licensing issues, as people have mentioned).

I think something in the realm of Wipeout or Redout (Redout is already here) would be more feasible to coming here seeing as the cars are original and less "sponsored" but a lot of racing games, well the popular ones at least, are the least likely to come here. Forza, Test Drive, Need For Speed and Project Cars to name a few.

I found Redout to be absolutely great and it was quite surprisingly and pleasantly so to see it here.

Also, I much rather prefer car games/racing games over sports games. Much more exciting for me, personally.

Oddeus: Test Drive Unlimited and GT Legends are great games too.
TDU on gog would be an instant buy.

I didn't realize that. It's definitely a game that deserves to be here. Even though I still have my copy, I'd definitely buy another copy just for the convenience.

And here good lad, is the wishlist entry to spread the gospel of it.

And a video by Ancient Dos Games in the style of Game Dungeon about it.

It looks like I already did that. It's one of my favorites. I especially love taking my fan boat up out of the water on that particular track and the short cut on Lenin's Leap.
I like the Car DLC in Real Life RPG. Sure, it's expensive, chugs a sea of fuel, and parts will wear out, but I still love my trusty old ship.

In all seriousness, more car games here would be great.
Slightly off topicish, I'd love to see more racing games in general. Motorcycles, boats, jet skis. It could also be amusing to have things like skiing or running as well.

Sadly, there aren't many options for those.
