I own Pikuniku Collector edition v. 1.0. I want to purchase new version 10 (ten). But at checkout says I can only buy as gift because I already own it. How do I get new version?

I think that don't have any new version, they just forgot to add the "." between 1 and 0.

You have the right on free updates whoever game you buy on GoG.

Thanks, but they are different as per trailers. Also the prices are different $5.99 vs $12.99

Wait i got this, the version 10 you're seing is the Directx version required to play the game and not the version of the game itself., i checked on the page right now.

The version you have are the game $12.99 plus the $5.99(DLC with soundtrack and comic book)

the collectors edition is a dlc upgrade, not a seperate library entry.

if you own pikuniku, all you should have to do is walk them crazy pikuniku legs over to https://www.gog.com/account

and download it again (unless you're using galaxy at which point you can just update it).

No, actually. The Collector version which I have played having paid $5 is a primitive version. It does not offer any opportunity for upgrade either within the game or on GOG. I appreciate your attention, especially since I'm a newbie at this "platform" business.

Maybe my question should be what would happen if I gifted the new version to myself -- would I be able to access it?

When you buy the Pikuniku game you only get the game itself, and the Collector's Edition is a DLC (Downloadable
Content) that doesn't add anything to this game (more levels, new game modes, etc.)
This specific DLC includes extras: the Pikuniku Soundtrack and the Pikuniku Digital Comic, which you can
download to your PC.

Sheeesh. I feel like I'm in an alternative universe or at least an alternative GOG. Truly what I got for my $5.99 Colector's edition was version 1.0.5 GAME no soundtrack or comics or any "extras"

The extras are not included in the game. I don't use Galaxy, so I don't know how to get them from there, but
you can download them if you use a browser to log in to your GOG acount, click on your Pikuniku game in the
Games section and the Soundtrack and Comic should be available for download in the Extras section.

The link that Sachys provided you should take you to your game library in a web browser. When you're there, and you click on the Pikuniku entry, do you see a section that says "Extras" and beneath it anything with links to the soundtrack or comic?

If yes, then you have the game and any extra bits. You don't need to spend more money on a gift to yourself or on the game again at all for that matter.

There is no new version of the CE.
There's only the main game ($12,99), and the Collector's Edition-DLC ($5,99) in the store.

This is a strange thread. I'd try and help, but I can't think of any way to explain things that's different from what everyone else has tried.

Screenshots. Loads and loads of screenshots.
You already have the game.
