So with it being Christmas and all I decided to purchase a game for me and my two friends. I successfully completed two orders but I can't complete third one as it says I have to wait for 24 hours. What gives ? Had I known this was the case I would've purchased it on Steam :/ Is there a way to mitigate this or do we have to wait ?

The sale still lasts 35 hours.Either you will be here to buy the gifts then or not.

Thank you cpt. Obvious, here have this rock XD
No seriously, I appreciate you took time to answer (even if it's useless) but I'm genuinely curios as to why this happened, and why didn't it happen when I tried to complete my first gift order.

Merry Christmas BTW
For security reasons, GOG implemented some restriction for buying gifts: https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/212159529-I-cannot-buy-a-game-as-a-gift-why-

Try using another payment method, if you can.

Merry Christmas!

Thank you very much, and a very happy Christmas to you too !

I still think this restriction is really stupid. In this day and age, people usually have more than one friend they play co-op games with and people with resposibilities and jobs have enough trouble coordinating their play time without silly restrictions on gifting the same game.

I thought as much, but say if I was a piece of human refuse who did something like that - I'd still be able to purchase several different games; I just wouldn't be able to gift them. I managed to complete three orders and restriction popped-up only when I tried to gift another copy of the same game. That's what's seemed strange to me.
In the past lots of gifts bought with stolen credit cards were sold on shady sites like G2A, that's why the restrictions were put in place, to reduce the chances of these repeating.
