This morning I saw a game I like on sale and decided to purchase it as a gift for 2 friends. The first one went through fine, then I attempted to buy it a second time for another friend. Now I get a "oops something went wrong" error when attempting to buy it, and it tells me its probably a problem with my bank and to use a different payment type. But regardless of what payment type i try I still receive the error. Ive tried 2 different credit cards, a visa gift card, and paypal, all with the same result. Ive also restarted my computer. Any idea how this can be fixed? The game is Mount and Blade Warband btw.

Think there's a limit on gifting the same game. Give it 24 hours.

I;m sure you've already done this but just in case:

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=gog+%22oops+something+went+wrong%22

Are they actual credit cards or debit cards? Many banks only issue debit cards that will work in the US.

Ditto with the Visa Gift cards.

Also with Paypal if you;re just trying to pay with a card and not with an actual verified account with funds already in it.

Not sure how it got thru the first time but that's what I;m looking at.

I'm pretty sure I've purchased gifts of the same game on the same day.

Usually you will get this response if you make ANY type of purchase more than once a day from the same site... especially if they're really close together. This is not gog, it's the banks automatic fraud protection scripts kicking in. I used to get so frustrated with this I would consider not buying here any more. But after exhaustive complaints with the bank(s) I learned that it's "normal" for their fraud protection software to deny any overseas purchases that show multiple purchases on the same day... and especially multiple purchases with the same amount.

To this day the only way I've found to avoid the problem is to buy Wallet Funds and then buy the games. It's one purchase that goes through the bank.. and then once you've got the funds in your wallet you can make a hundred purchases back to back to back to back etc. and no automatic bank fraud protection software will kick in.

My memory is really bad these days but I"m pretty sure I've bought multiple gifts of the same game on the same day before. Using wallet funds of course. Although I do seem to recall an instance where the sale was denied even using wallet funds. IIRC it was about the 4th copy of a game on sale I bought for gifting. So there may in fact be a limit but I don't think (again not sure) that limit is 1.
