I bought all the might and magic games, and I just downloaded them to my newer laptop, which runs Windows 10.

I can't play any of them (M&M7, Heroes 3&4 specifically). When I open the game, it starts to run, then immediately minimizes to my desktop screen, with the game still running.

HALP!!

What happens if you try to maximize the game again?
In addition: I don't know much about Win10 but I often heard that one should install Directplay for several games.

Just keeps doing it. It's basically a blinking effect. Game screen goes up for literally a second, then minimizes right away back to the desktop.

I'm sure you tried this, but... just in case.. did you try running them under any of the compatibility modes? Might be worth a try in Windows XP mode.

NOTE: I do feel for you. I bought a Steam game (rarity for me) that I can't get to run on this Windows 10 laptop and I lost all of my other computers in a flood (had two awesome self built rigs, both Windows 7 machines) and it's very frustrating when you buy a game and it won't run. The Steam game I bought was March of the Eagles and one other person claimed they got it to run on windows 10... which somehow made it more frustrating. LOL

For Heroes 3:

From the support page:
*The game starts and remains minimized
If you're experiencing this problem, try updating your graphics card drivers. Resetting the card's settings (in your NVidia Control Panel or ATI Catalyst Control Center) could help as well.

You could try to run the game as and administrator or install the HD patch.
