As soon as I open it, it just sits there and spins for a long time. Then finally "Oops! Something went wrong, Click below to login" and there's nothing below.

Good thing that buggy Galaxy is not needed in order to play.

Just get rid of Galaxy and use the offline installers. Unless, of course, you need online achievements, telling you that you did a good job, to enjoy a game.

I have the same problem, from MacBook Air.

Replying 3 years later. In case someone finds this thread trying to solve it - going into system settings -> privacy and security -> application management and giving galaxy permission to install or update apps seems to have fixed the issue (either that or retrying multiple times)

Your hint is working for me, thanks a lot. I guessed GOG was added by windows security, but not at all... It must
be done by hand.
