As soon as I open it, it just sits there and spins for a long time. Then finally "Oops! Something went wrong, Click below to login" and there's nothing below.

Just get rid of Galaxy and use the offline installers. Unless, of course, you need online achievements, telling you that you did a good job, to enjoy a game.

I have the same problem, from MacBook Air.
Replying 3 years later. In case someone finds this thread trying to solve it - going into system settings -> privacy and security -> application management and giving galaxy permission to install or update apps seems to have fixed the issue (either that or retrying multiple times)

be done by hand.
