Hi! I have both The Witcher and The Witcher 2. I am currently downloading The Witcher 1 and wanted to get the wallpapers. I always use the GOG Downloader for the goodies and stuff but now I can't download just the wallpapers. I have to download the whole freebies package. Sadly, 4.5gb will put a heavy load to my internet. How do I download each freebie on GOG Downloader individually like before?

You could never do that.
Either full package via Downloader or individual goodies via browser.

Randalator: You could never do that.
You could do that by clicking on the individual goodies. Not sure if you are able to do that currently though.

Edit: Use this link gogdownloader://the_witcher_2/10843

Didn't switching on Downloader mode create one single clickable extras link? I seem to remember only being able to see individual extras links when Downloader moder was off...

Yes, and no. Switching it to on did create a single extra clickable link, but you could still click on the individual goodies to download them one by one.

It used to be possible to dowload individual goodies via Gog Downloader.

Yes, it did create one "download all" link, but you could still click the indivudual files to download them ;) One of GOG's many hidden features :P

You have to built the links yourself (that's what JMich did there). To do this, just copy the link of the extra you want to download from the list of extras on your shelf (gog.com/downlink/file/the_witcher_2/10843 for the wallpapers). Now, take gogdownloader:// and add whatever is behind gog.com/downlink/file/. That's the_witcher_2/10843 for the wallpapers. This'll give you a working downloader link for individual extras: gogdownloader://the_witcher_2/10843

edit: Goddamit, GOG! Stop adding URL tags automatically to URLs... Nice idea, but together with my bold tags it screws up the whole post -.-

edit2: done... hopefully...

Thanks JMich for the direct URL and for you for the explanation on how to do it. I hope they put it back because having to do it manually every time is a pain.

Don't set your hopes too high... I think we'll get a "less than 1% is still using the GOG Downloader, so we decided to remove the links" message soon enough :/

edit: why the hell was there a link in my post??? I think I broke the forums again (and it survived my edit because Sedo quoted it)

But the Galaxy Client is not "there" yet. For example, when I download stuff on Galaxy, the speed indicator is locked at MB/s. My internet speed is maxes out at 250kb/s so what I see instead is 0.2MB/s instead of 230kb/s, etc. That lets me monitor if I've hit the bandwidth cap already if that amount goes down by some.

(sorry for rant)

There is another option: use the link they provide to "download all" and then go to the Downloader, right-click above the completion bar of the ones you don't want to download and select "remove from list" (or something like that). This no longer works every time because the naming of the extras on the Downloader has been partially broken of late.
