At first this problem was limited to Galaxy only, I could through the website login and download just Demos if I wanted to.

Today though I tried to get 2 of them, Saint Kotar and Beautiful Desolation. Even through the website, I am unable to download these.

I find it odd I am forced to purchase something if I want to get free Demos to try out any program Demo to see if I like the full program.

You must "buy" a demo before you can download it but it's free to buy.

What do you mean exactly? You can't "purchase" them, or you can't download them?

For the latter, I have no solution to offer, since I never experienced that, but for the "purchasing" problem, there exists an easy solution: check the "gift this order" box on the check out page. Then uncheck the box again - you should now be able to "purchase" the demo.

Whenever I "buy" a demo (using paypal) I first get an error message - doing it again works.

That was odd, was not like that before. Seems doing the Gift then Ungift thing is the only way to do it.

I see Galaxy still has the bug where after you buy something, it still says items in cart in the purple icon at top though going to cart shows it empty.
