Greetings.

I explain my doubt before they call me crazy.

I bought the game Wartales when it left early access, but it worked very badly for me, technically speaking, so I requested a refund and GOG granted it to me.

But after a few weeks, I found out that they had released a patch that "fixed" a lot of performance, and silly me, I decided to give it another try. But unfortunately it was a lie.

So before I do anything that might affect my account's ability to request a refund, I draw on the experience of the community. Can I request a refund again for this game? Has anyone done the same?
As long as it's within the refund window, questions won't be asked. Best hurry.
Yes, you can and it isn't wrong to give the game (or anything in life really) a second chance. It didn't happen to me to refund something a second time. It happened though to re-buy something after refunding and my second time went better!
Thank you for your answers. I am quite sorry to make a refund on GOG, given their anti-DRM policies, but the situation leaves me no choice.

I doubt it's even possible to lose the ability to request refunds altogether. I suppose if you abuse the system, they might flat out reject your refund requests. But usually the worst you can expect is a refund to GOG wallet instead of your payment method.
Sorry to hear about your experience. The studio is maybe too small to expect they will be able to address your specific problem, though reaching out to the developer might help with solving your problem? I mean, if there is still time left in your refund window, else, you know... third time is a charm they say :)
Only GOG knows the real answer to your question, Teniente Furia.

They might, for example, refund your game a second time and then refuses future refunds on the basis that you have already refunded the same game twice.

I'm not saying I know that would happen, but just that it's a possibility.

But no GOG customer can read the minds of GOG staff, so therefore we can't give you a real & legitimate answer to your question either way.
What I wanna know is how did the OP manage to put a space in their username lol.
I think that wallet refunds will be issued no questions asked 99-100% of the time.

Might not be the case with full refunds, but that is fully up to GOG's discretion. But as long as you don't abuse it regularly, it should be fine.

"Bad performances ("technically speaking")" might also be due to using a "potato-PC". No patch can fix that.
What are your PC's specs?
Do they fulfill the game's requirements?

The first few patches released focussed on reducing stutter, improving performance on the strategic map. Not sure if this was a specific AMD or older system problem. After this followed their first larger patch, addressing some community requests and of course their own path of systems and other introductions they had already planned for.

Thanks to everyone for your replies. I already requested the refund and it was promptly refunded to my GOG wallet.
I don't usually refund a lot, neither here nor on STEAM, but I was worried about doing it twice with the same game. :)

I didn't know you couldn't put a space in the username... hahaha.

I don't want to go into details about the game and my PC, that's not the point of the post. In any case, I thank you for taking the time to read my question and answer.

Should certainly be acceptable, but be aware you might be impacted by time of game played, which might be based on every time you have played that game in total. I seem to recall that over two hours means no refund. Which as others have noted in the past, is meaningless if you don't use Galaxy, and another reason not to use it, as only Galaxy reports time played.

Please note I am only speculating based on reports by others etc, and not for your particular case scenario.

I never refund games, as I never get around to playing them in the 30 days time frame after purchase. This of course impacts how much I am willing to pay for a game in the first place, as well as being diligent with reviews and research. It should also be clear I don't use Galaxy and or backup Offline Installers only.

Ah well...one could argue, if you bought the same game twice and in both cases it didn't run, then the system requirements of that game, resp. your PC's specs, may actually be the point.
But whatever... shrug
