It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Okay, you can stick with Steam then. though you've already bought 129 games here it seems, so you have some investment.

gregrout: That's important to know. I think I'll stick to Steam where they allow returns for games you don't like. They understand the full picture. As great as DRM-free is, GoG completely ignores or misses the point that the customer is always the one taking the big risk. It's never a fair transaction through GoG. If the game is all hype it's too bad for the GOG CUSTOMER.

Sachys: you've necroed a years old thread to say that, and have somehow completely missed newer threads on gogs new refund policy of "30 days, no questions asked"

so much palm, so much face.
no questions asked ?:P yeah sure
I saw a deal for bioshock 1&2. I paid $9.98 for them.

I downloaded Bioshock 1, played it for a while. I got to a point then just didn't like the game.

I asked GOG for refund for both: downloaded and played 1, didn't even download 2.

They gave me a gog store credit for $9.98!

They have a great policy. :)

That's why Steam is better and why I buy most of my games from Steam.

Bigs: Buyer beware - do your research before buying... though out of interest, what was the game?

clarry: Hard to do research when for any given game there's a ton of hype that tends to drown out good critique.
Thx to all the dumb fanboys calling everybody a troll, when writing bad things about their game.
Slightly necroed thread, and I don't really want to add to that necro..but there's a recent change about this topic I think needs to be posted.

https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/360006129837-Update-to-our-voluntary-Refund-Policy?product=gog

"How does your updated voluntary Refund Policy work?
The updated policy lets you refund a product up to 30 days after purchase, even if it was downloaded, launched, and played. Yes, you read that correctly. :)
To apply for a refund, you should contact our Customer Support Team within 30 days of your purchase, and our team will sort it out as soon as possible.
However, if the reason you are seeking a refund is that your game is not working (yet!), please consider contacting our friendly Tech Support folk first. They will do their best to help you get the game working on your machine.
We're monitoring the effects of the current update to make sure no one is using this policy to hurt the developers that put their time and heart into making great games. We may refuse refunds in such individual cases. We'd also let you know about any future adjustments in the voluntary Refund Policy in advance."
