So i was wondering, i got this game from gtx 980 as a gift, can i get a refund of it and somehow get my money back somwhere like to steam or a credit card if so how?
Have you ever tried using GOG? What have you got to lose? I think if you give us a chance you might like it here.
Since this was a promo code from Nvidia for buying a graphics card you won't be able to get any money back. Money back is only for games you buy here.

Seriously?
You want to get a refund, for a game you haven't actually bought? 0_o

I'd imagine there will be something in the T&Cs for the offer that states it cannot be exchanged for any other prize or monetary value (or however they say it)

That being said, you can probably trade the code to someone who wants the game and get something else in return.

You can try trading your code for other games, check out the trading thread.

How did I miss that? :P

While I appreciate the OP's politeness, it never occurred to me he was trying to get a refund for a freebie. XD

I actually have to give him some kudos for even attempting that. XD Nicely done.
I'll refund it, don't worry. We are nothing if not a friendly community. Send me the code, and I'll refund the 0€ you paid for it.
Ouch, not going to touch this one.

Pickle what is your avatar? I'm going nuts here trying to figure it out. It looks MK-ish but I don't think that's it.
This is a troll, right? Has to be a troll. No one can seriously ask a question like this, can they?

Couldn't you just sell the GOG code (providing you haven't redeemed it yet to your GOG account)? I wouldn't be surprised if many GOG users wanted it, if the price is right of course. Don't look at me though, I have already pre-ordered TW3 + Season Pass from GOG.com.

Note: I am not fully sure if you are really allowed to re-sell promo codes (Steam or GOG), but let's at least pretend it is ok.

But you didn't pay GOG any money, someone paid Nvidia AND the game was free with the GPU. You could maybe get a refund for the GPU+game if you don't want the card? But you'd have to ask the store that the GPU was bought from.

EDIT: Small correction. Also, there are people who do want the Witcher 3 and want it here so your best bet is to trade it on these forums if you've not already redeemed it to an account here.

Something to do with Song of Ice and Fire.
