In some cases the Galaxy won't import if the main game folder doesn't contain 2 files:
goggame-<gameID>.dll
goggame-<gameID>.hashdb

The ICO file most likely is used for showing the game icon in Galaxy.

Sadly some games still don't have those files yet.

Starkrun: Galaxy will Auto see all installers that are 2.X.X.X

if you used an old 1.X.X.X or older you can go to the game in your library in galaxy and then click:

More -> manage -> import folder

then point to the folder you installed that game to and it will run a check against GOG database and update/replace any needed files to bring that installation up to date.

for me its worked 100% of the time.

if you install it will download the extracted game install like steam, this just eats bandwidth.
Thank you, this worked perfectly for me!

Happyloaf: If I have installed some games from GOG prior to installing Galaxy will the client find those games or only new games installed after Galaxy is installed?
Go in the parameters (the gear on the top left), then select "Add games & friends", then you will have "Scan folders for GOG Games".
