Just thought I'd post this warning. I'm not here to bash Steam, but just share a "caveat emptor" moment I had on Steam just now.

I was planning on buying Resident Evil 2 on Steam which is on sale and looks like a good deal. To be clear, the banner states Resident Evil Revelations 2 / Biohazard Revelations 2 with a nice cheap price.

Next, I always check the reviews, and although they were mostly positive, I try and find the critical ones. That's when I discovered I was being misled.

You see, even though the banner stated RE 2, the price stated is ONLY for Episode One, which is then listed on the game page as such. If one didn't buy the FULL game or the package "deal", then you are looking at an additional $78 for all DLC and episodes.

Not cool, Capcom & Steam. Not. Cool.
Thanks for posting this. I was skimming through the Steam Capcom sale earlier today and assumed it was the whole season of RE Revelations 2 which was on sale.
Actually it was you who didnt see.
It stated on "About this game":

"Evolving the episodic chapter set-up of the original Resident Evil Revelations, Resident Evil Revelations 2 will initially release as a weekly series of episodic downloads beginning on February 24, 2015. "

Actually, I was talking about the banner advertisement for RE 2. When you click on the Capcom Publisher Weekend (up to 80% off) "Learn More" link on the homepage, the banner for RE 2 ONLY states, "RE Revelations 2 continues the series acclaimed essential survival horror experience, while uncovering startling truths."

That's all it says which leads me to think that the actual game is at $x. It's only when I go to the game page that I'm informed that no, only episode 1 is = $x, and you pay lots more for the rest of the game. IMO, this is like paying for a DEMO of a game.

Interestingly, you pointed to the "About this game" section. Well, that paragraph you quoted is hidden. You have to click "Read More" to uncover this. I find this to be rather shady.

Additionally, many reviews are stating that they were misled about a co-op ability that is NOT included at this time. Again, I find this to be in poor taste, but my OP didn't mention this because it was irrelevant.
