The Tower of Bundles stands tall! A grand finale: Knights in Shining Armor joust for the princess' snow-white handkerchief, but the cyberpunk heroes did not ask for this.

So we had all these awesome bundles lying around, and we're thinking of what to do with 'em. They all just happen to be square (cubical even, if you squint and use your imagination), and one day our Promo-Master starts stacking them on top of each other thinking little of it. It's a long story. One thing led to another, things escalated quickly, and here we are now. In total, we've built:

Days 5 & 6 - Bundle Tower Finale: Sci-Fi Floor, Knights in Shining Armor, and Divinity: Original Sin
Come one, come all - there's something for everyone on Day 5, where Knights in Shining Armor clash against a floor of Sci-Fi strategy and epic. Complete two series with our two knightly bundles: the Mount & Blade Pack at -75% (Mount & Blade, Mount & Blade: With Fire and Sword, Mount & Blade: Warband, Mount & Blade: Warband: Napoleonic Wars), and the 60% off Gothic Trilogy, in which we once again welcome the series to GOG.com! (Gothic I, Gothic II, Gothic 3)
Not into steeds and dragons? How about cybernetic implants and spaceships? Train your mind and your Spatial Awareness with these three space space strategy titles at -75% (Space Colony HD, Galactic Civilizations I, Master of Orion 1+2), or descend into a dystopian future with the Cyberpunk Pack
(Deus Ex 1+2, Anachronox, Omikron) with another 75% off.

Finally, the tower stands tall!
We had fun, we had game premieres, we had a change of pants. Now, we reach the apex of our tower, and therein lies one final surprise: Divinity: Original Sin at our record high 40% discount! The modern Ultima-inspired RPG wonder stole our hearts, and we hope it'll steal yours too.

Day 4 - Put the Pieces Together & Gamers at the Movies.

Fourth day, four bundles. Coincidence? We think not.
Aliens.
Our DRM-free aliens bring us today's four bundles in convenient sets of two. Still sceptical? Do your own research and Put the Pieces Together - to get your noodle brewing are several Headscratchers at -80% (Super Puzzle Platformer, Unmechanical, Gateways, The Adventures of Shuggy), then once you're good and warmed up, put it all together Brick-by-brick at a 75% discount (LEGO Batman, LEGO Harry Potter 1-7). Adventure, intrigue, aliens. It's just like being at the movies, which is appropriate because this next floor is like a GOG.com branded movie theatre with two side-by-side matinees. That's Geeks 'R' Us at -80% (Ecstasy of Order, Trek Nation, Rewind This, Space Invaders, Downloaded), and Nerd Central (The Frame, Ink, Dark Dungeons, Angry Video Game Nerd, Motivational Growth) with tickets on a permanent -75% discount.

Day 3: History Lessons
*brring* Recess is over!
Kidding, we're just piling on the fun behind thinly veiled History Lessons. We've got one floor for you today, but what a floor indeed! Today's two bundles are not just about being smart, fiendishly difficult, and kinda historically accurate (just like school) - but also about all of them being released on GOG.com for the first time. Just like we promised.
The self-titled History Lessons bundle, at -75%, includes Paradox Interactive grand-strategy titles (Europa Universalis 2, Europa Universalis: Rome Gold, and Hearts of Iron), while the -75% Pack of War packs a stack of Men of War titles (Faces of War, Men of War: Red Tide, Men of War: Assault Squad, and Men of War: Vietnam ), where you'll strive to survive organic, semi-authentic, squad based battles.

If anyone asks where on earth you've been for the past week, you'll say studying for history finals. Inside the Bundle Tower. Right?

Day 2: The Adrenaline Floor & Indie Variety
On the second day of the Bundle Tower, there were two more floors and four more bundles. Our first major stop is occupied by a varied crowd, where Wacky Indies at 80% off (Stick it to the Man, Consortium, Sir, You Are Being Hunted) and Indie Platformers at -85% (Dust, Spelunky, Trine Enchanted Edition, Trine 2) mingle, mix, and match, and learn about the importance of friendship, and sharing, and the power of cooperation.
Then we move up to The Adrenaline Floor. It sounds like trouble, and it is. - 75% off the SHMUP Attack Pack (REVOLVER360 Re:Actor, Raiden III, Crimzon Clover, Astebreed) is your warmup, and it's the first of the bundles to feature a GOG.com premiere with REVOLVER360 Re:Actor!
Don't get cocky though, because soon you'll run like hell and proclaim: S#&%, My Pants! The Penumbra Collection, Amnesia: Dark Descent, Outlast, (and a change of knickers, maybe) are part of the bundle at 80% off!

Day 1: The Foundations
A rock-solid four bundles. Hasbro RPG classics (including Planescape: Torment, Neverwinter Nights, Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale) and the Divinity Trilogy (Divine Divinity, Beyond Divinity, Divinity 2) are available 80% off. In the meantime, Lucasfilm adventures at 70% off (Sam & Max Hit the Road, Secret of Monkey Island, Indiana Jones and The Fate of Atlantis), and a 75% off the entire Broken Sword Saga (in one bundle with Broken Sword 5 for the first time!), are just a point-and-click away.

The Bundle Tower Finale, with all bundles and discounts, will stand tall for a final 48 hours! Visiting hours end on Sunday, April 19, at 12:59 PM GMT.

Cool to see Gothic games back in the catalogue. I couldn't help but notice that there is a 4th title absent from the current sale promo, but which is actually present in the catalogue right now for $9.99 regular price:

http://www.gog.com/game/gothic_3_forsaken_gods

I own all 4 of the games from the past prior to Nordic's amicable departure, but it's too bad all 4 didn't show up in the promo for fans to get the whole set at a nice discount. :)

The question remains now... are these games here temporarily only for the promo, or are they here to stay?

If the answer is "for the promo only", and Gothic 3 Forsaken Gods is actually not part of the promo, and they were unable to keep their games here for non-promo regular price reasons due to contractual obligations elsewhere or whatever, are they now in violation of their contracts with Steam or whoever selling Forsaken Gods here not on sale, or does it have some other circumstance that makes it able to make it back to GOG? Yes, nobody reading this who answers will know the detailed truth for real, and nobody who knows the true details will answer - but they're interesting questions from an observant gamer nonetheless!

Either way it's good to see them back, and hopefully they're back to stay put now. Moreso, hopefully it marks the return of Nordic Games permanently back to GOG! Don't external contracts come up for renegotiation from time to time? :)

I think Gothic 2 and 3 are staying since they are now owned by a new publisher. It looks like they are no longer a part of Nordic.

a) SEGA

b) Take2

c) Bethesda
Nah. Probably just more Good News™.

They are no longer published by Nordic. They are here to stay indefinitely, now at the hands of their original developers; Piranha Bytes.

Oh, I see now what you're pointing out. The countdown on the front page is 24 hours less than the ones on the promo pages. Yeah, somebody's goofed there. I'm assuming the front page is incorrect...

The countdown on the front page just disappeared.
"18 bundles tall, last chance to get them all."
So I assume the previous disparity between the front page timer and each bundle timers was an error on gog's part.

I'll just wait on Divinity: Original Sin for a little longer. How are the ones in the Divinity bundle?

In actual fact the first game never left so... :)

It's a great selection of games but I don't care for bundles (especially those with selection based discounts) so I won't purchase any of them. Instead I look forward to the summer sale and sincerely hope it won't turn into a bundle palooza.

Aha! Now that explains it in a way that makes a lot of sense. :) I hadn't seen that fine detail in my perusal of the game pages. ;oP

On the upside they do show up as already-owned rather than being split to 2 different versions of the same game, so any future updates should come through which is nice.

I installed Gothic a few months ago to finally check it out and it looks interesting even though the graphics are quite dated and the controls were non-intuitive compared to what I'm used to. That stuff doesn't really bother me though as I look into a game for what it has to offer rather than initial quirks and I adapt to the controls etc. over time so I'm sure I'll enjoy it when I get around to actually playing it for real. Having said that the other games look far better in graphic quality and polish, however being the completionist that I am I'm more likely to do them in release-order one at a time eventually.

I've got so many RPGs to play though that who knows when I'll actually dig into it for real. :) I'm closely approaching the end of Skyrim after 500 hours of play and was considering re-starting The Witcher next, and then The Witcher 2 which I've only given a trial run so far. Then there is the Risen series, Two Worlds, and... and... and... hehehe.

I did a one day trial run in Divine Divinity and enjoyed what it had to offer for the most part. It is more old-school in nature compared to modern RPGs and the graphics are 2D isometric style, but the gameplay and depth seemed to be right on the money if one isn't hung up on graphics. When I get around to it I'll be playing through this series from the first game onward also as long as they do turn out to be fun however my initial assessment was that the first game seemed decent at least. Hard to go wrong though with GOG's promo pricing.

It's not the 70% off Divinty: OS that I keep asking for on your streams, but thanks GOG.com & Larian! Things are tight atm, but I will try to work something out.

Is there friend DLC for this yet? I want to play coop with a friend, but they are all too busy being grown up and following biological urges.
