I was wandering if it is possible to own a game from GOG if we already have a boxed version of the game?
Many of the games that GOG is selling or almost giving away for free, I have them in the boxed version, can I use my CD key to those GOG games (in the store) and make them digital?
Of course that I don't have the receipt any more of those games and other were a present for me...
Is there any solution to this problem? GOG policy is not to buy two times the same game (steam for example), but what with the BOX version?

GOG's policy says nothing about not buying the games twice. GOG runs a business. They aren't in the habit of just giving away games. That being said, the Witcher 1 and 2 can be redeemed, and a very few other games could too, at least at one point in time. Ultimately, this is a publisher/developer/rights holder issue. If they don't want to extend GOG copies to their previous customers, then no one gets free copies.

If the games are so cheap, why not pay GOG for the digital copy since they are providing a service of digitally backing up the games and ensuring they work on most modern systems?
