That happens to all of us! XD

I got nailed buying something two hours before it went on sale, Settlers 3.

I don't know if that helps ease the pain but at least you aren't suffering alone. :P

See it that way: You put some additional funding to the Cyberpunk 2077 development opposed to the cheapskates who wait for an sale or worse, ppl like me, who have not even bought it yet ;)
You can also take comfort in the fact that if any game is worth the money you've paid for it - it's The Witcher 3 - that's a whole lot of game...
It's not like it's never been on sale before.
Think of it as an investment in Cyberpunk 2077.

...
Video games go frequently on sale for typical amounts of 30-90%, so it's definitely worth checking on one of the many price tracking history web sites and if necessary wait for the next sale. What were you thinking when you bought Witcher 3 six days ago? Maybe feeling a bit upset about yourself is exactly what you need for not repeating the mistake. I hope you learn.

P.S. Shit happens... It's still a good game.

Shame on you! Buy it! It's a great game! And go for the Game of the Year edition. The expansions are awesome. I especially loved Toussaint in Blood and Wine!
Umm, it's not on sale for me...
Sale or not gaming is one of the cheapest hobbies.

It's on sale on Humble Store and you get GOG key if you purchase it there like with all the Witcher games.

Gaming is rather expensive hobby actually. Even if you only purchase games from bundles or only on steep discounts, over time you end up paying quite a lot. Then there's the hardware required to consider and finally, last I checked, electricity is not free, at least not where I live.

Well, I bought CIV IV for 10 Eurons, now it only costs 4.99 Eurons!
I did something similar with night and magic 8.bought it for $50 and then 12 years later, it was $9.99.

Seriously though ,i have bought games to play next and before I even get to it, it was given away on Gog or humble bundle. What do you do?

I paid 50 € for Master of Orion III when it came out back in the day. I'll go cry in the corner. ;-p
