So....I add ethyl acetate to my games? Or my eyeballs?
That sounds dangerous. Where's Drealmer when you need him for consultation?

And in Japan, it doesn't matter anyways, because all your base are belong to us.

Pretty much 90% of all the games I bought from GoG are unplayed/not installed. I spent a total of $593 so far on GoG since 2014. $253 in 2016 alone so far, haven't beat a single game I bought this year that I haven't played before.

I'm either just: too damn tired after work, too damn lazy, or if I even bother installing one, I have difficulty getting into a new game and stay interested.Maybe it had to do with being sick of staring at the computer for 7.5hrs at work. My dream had always been to become a MMOPRG basemen dwelling WoW bum, just never got the time. I'm probably just making excuses. I need to see a gaming psychiatrist who is specialized in getting people addicted to gaming...

Don't ask why I bought Hunniepop for $4.99, I haven't even downloaded it yet.

That game is addictive once you get into it.
This thread is a plea for empathy. Please tell me some of you have does this! XD
Eh, sometimes. I have Dragon's Dogma installed, but I haven't played it yet.

Actually, I believe the only version of Zero Wing to have the "all your base" line is the European version. The Sega Genesis version (the only one with the intro) was not released in the US, and the Japanese release's intro was in Japanese (and hence did not contain the famous Engrish).

Hence, it is actually only in Europe that all your base are belong to us.

(Then again, back when the meme was still popular, I saw that line in the windows of a building at college (in the real world).)

Edit: Back on topic, it occurred to me that I have Pier Solar installed, but haven't played past the very beginning (to test the game out).

Maighstir: Installed but never played? I don't think so. I mean, there's The Stanley Parable, which Steam advertised as having a Linux download, but which wouldn't start because the binary itself wasn't actually there until recently (now, Steam says I have about 75 minutes in the game). Then there's Tabletop Simulator, which isn't so much a game itself as an application to play games in, and which pretty much requires friends to have any fun with, so that's been sitting pretty much unused beyond an initial launch to get a feel for the application.

Beyond that, no, I think I've played, at least for a while, everything I've installed (though there are, of course, a bunch of games I have yet to install, and some I likely never will).

Crewdroog: that's too bad about The Stanely Parable. I finally got around to playing it, and it was fantastic.
It is pretty great, yeah. For some reason the developer market the game as having Linux support while still working on porting it. It's been done for a little while though, so I've (as mentioned) been playing it for little over an hour now.

Oh, yeah, that game. I, too, have just barely started playing it. I don't actually have it installed though, as it runs nicely directly off the disc (I also have the Megadrive/Genesis cartridge, and Dreamcast disc).

The last one it happened with was SimCity 3000, I bought and installed it when it first appeared on GOG but I haven't touched it yet.

I always have other games already going when I buy new ones, yet I'm always very eager to install a new game, even though it takes a while before I actually get to play it.
ERrrrm, I have practically my entire library installed and a large portion of it is "not played," but I do that because I have the HD space and would like to be able to play most things on a whim rather than having to install them.

Breja: I can't belive I'm going to defend something about the prequels for a change, but I don't think knowing the city is much help when you're falling out of a window. It's not like he got to pick which window to fall out of.

tinyE: In Anakin's case not knowing helped. Not only was he in an unfamiliar city, the son of a bitch landed on a MOVING TARGET, and not a very big one to boot! :P

I'm beginning to think those movies are not as realistic as I previously thought.
Speaking of Anakin's case, for the unbelievably low chance someone doesn't know Darths&Droids, here is the link: http://www.darthsanddroids.net/episodes/0001.html . Prequel trilogy suddenly made perfect sense.

Speaking of the main topic - I don't remember actually forgetting already installed game, but otherwise I am 100% with you. What happened to me several times is "barely touch and forget": download game -> install game -> left it on the HD "for later" -> start it months later for the first time -> being baffled by player profile already existing -> THEN vaguely recall that I run it for the few minutes right after install, thinking "hmm, promising, but I rather finish game X first."
Gives me ... unsettling... feeling.
