next...change the language..sry Epic, sitting in Germany doesn't mean, I like to play my games in german -.-
and of cause, there was no way found, to change the game language...wtf Epic, it's 2022 !!!
so after 5 mins i deinstalled this piece of crap...still have fun with Borderlands 1+2 :)

I doesn't sound like you'd still be willing to give it a second chance, with the huge download and all, but just in case anyone reading is facing the same problem - Epic usually handles
language changes via the command line option (which is something noone can know without googling and therefor not user-friendly at all, but you don't have to put up with games giving you the wrong language). For Borderlands 3, I found this:
Open the Epic Games Launcher.
Select the Settings icon > go to Borderlands 3.
Open the drop-down menu and check the Additional Command Line Arguments option.
To select English as a default language, type -culture=en in the text box available below.
Note: You can replace en with the codes for other languages. If you want to change the language to Spanish type -culter=es. The list of codes is available below.
(English) -culture=en
(French) -culture=fr
(Italian) -culture=it
(German) -culture=de
(Spanish) -culture=es
(Russian (text only)) -culture=ru
(Japanese) -culture=ja
(Brazilian Portuguese (text only)) -culture=pt-BR
(Korean) -culture=ko
(Simplified Chinese) -culture=zh-Hans-CN
(Traditional Chinese) -culture=zh-Hant-TW
