the game is boiling point road to hell, when I download the patch I unzipit and then click on the file that has been unzipped
the warning is ''cannot locate boiling point (usa)any on your computer''.
This is the first time for me downloading any sort of patch,
I would really appreciate anyone's help
this is ridiculous its so annoying.
I must have downloaded patches from over 20 websites now to no avail .

From what I recall, Boiling Point had different releases for US and EU. See if the UK patch recognizes your game as installed, or see if you can identify the region of your game.

ok, had a quick look on the web, Which version are you running?
Out of the message it indicates you are trying to install a US specific patch which seems not to be working with your version.
Maybe you have the UK version of the game?
And no, I don't have the game

Where did you download the patch (so that it is not some scam site)?

Do you have the correct patch for your version of the game?

In Patches Scrolls (where I normally look for updates for old PC retail games), it lists two different patches:: a 1.1 patch for the US version, and a 2.0 patch for the European version. Have you tried both?

You see this little Info would have helped from the beginning ;)
I see that they offer US + European version.
Installing patches CAN be a nightmare but CAN also be just a double-click.
Unfortunate no telling prior.
But from what I found on the web, this one shall be an easy one.

I think that changes everything. At least I thought you were referring to the retail (CD) version of the game, not a digital download version. I didn't even know it is available as one, or that there is such a store as atari.com.

https://atari.com/buy-games/action/boiling-point-road-hell

I assume the retail version patches most probably will not work with that version, similarly like you should not try to install such retail patches for GOG games either, but only patches you receive from GOG.com. Are you sure it even needs any update? It could be updated already. Do you have some problems with the game and that is why you are trying to update it?

If in doubt, I think you should contact Atari.com support and ask from them if the game needs any separate update, or is it already up to date.

hey ive messaged Atari 4 days ago
that the first thing I did.
well yes you are right but that Is not the case with me
leave aside the various bugs and random crashes which I can tolerate, my problem is that I am at a stage in the game now where I cant go any further (due to the problem)
3 mission options that are very important which I cant complete due to the game crashing
the first a boat mission for don carlos.
(1) once completing the mission and pressing e or enter to exit the boat the game goes to loading screen and stops working (therefore I cant talk to the guy in order to complete the mission

(ive tried restarting re installing the game and many other things. I even tried going to the other side of the map and getting out of the boat )
(
2) the other mission option ''learn to fly a plane for don pedro''
once completing the mission and landing the plane I cant exit the plane when I press e or enter the game crashses
(same exact thing as the boat mission)
(so I cant talk to augusto to complete the mission)

(3) the mission option for the gurellas mission

(ambush the convoy transporting the traitor at night and kill the traitor)
I get to the location kill everyone and the mission is still not complete there is no traitor visible there just military people
i tried blowing up the whole place shooting everyone I see and I must have don't the mission 6 times already.
I believe a game glitch maybe is not letting the traitor spawn
the mission objective is to kill the traitor
I cant complete it no matter how hard I try or look for him the x on the map shows me where he is supposed to be but I cant get to him because he is not there.
thanks for your reply :)
I love this game I used to play it from cd back when it just came out
I hope you understand my frustration

if you think its my best option to contact Atari that's what I will wait for then
i just don't want them to ignore me or not come up with a solution for me

If I remember correctly, you can calculate change in boiling point (assuming the substance you're working with is water) by multiplying the constant 1.86 by the molality of your sol-

As I said, I am not convinced the patches meant for the retail (CD) version of the game will work with your digital download version of the game you purchased and downloaded from Atari.com. If your game needs any patch (ie. it is not up to date already), most probably you have to get it from Atari.com support.

You wouldn't do that for GOG games either, ie. download official retail patch for Baldur's Gate in order to try to patch your GOG version of Baldur's Gate, right? No, you get updates, if any, directly from GOG.com.

^^ see above, you might bee lucky to find a registry fixer patch out there.
But what is the version from Atari anyway saying about its version number? The message you get might also be because it is the same as the patch level. I have seen really stupid messages from patches and that might be just one of them.
I'm waiting on atari to reply imso angry ahhhhhhhhhh
