This game worth picking up? only available on GoG but is the game worth it?
I've never played it, but it runs on ScummVM, meaning it's super portable, and that's something I like in my games.
Blade Runner is one of my favorite games of all time. It's one of the rare few that I bought again on GOG even though I own a physical copy. I don't know how well it has aged to someone who doesn't see it though the filter of happy memories, but yes, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

It's currently on sale for -25% or -40% with a newsletter discount code. If you don't have you own, you can grab one in

Yes, it is worth picking. Game story goes in parallel with the first movie. You can make decisions which make huge impact on game ending. Since each new game randomly generates who is human and who is replicant there is additional replay value, not only to see different endings. Thanks to ScummVM team it run flawlessly on modern PCs.
Indeed it is worthy. It is probably one of the best point and click adventures ever. It was polished, it wanted to evolve the genre respecting the spirit of a point and click adventure in the beginning of the genre decadence. it had different endings depending your decissions, it is very polished technically and story wise. It was a proper superproduction from a veteran studio.

What I am not sure is if the game was a real hit in sales. even with a big marketing campaign, It had very good critics, though. And with the time I became a cult classic.
I guess it will largely depend on whether you like the movie. If you a game with similar themes, with the same mood and style appeals to you, then it's definitely worth picking up. It's one of the best movie based games, and the fact it has a completely original story to tell with new characters only works to its advantage - it's way more interresting than following just a game-recap of the film.

That said, not knowing your gaming prefrences, I guess you should be warned that it's not your usual point and click adventure game. From what I remember it's rather difficult, and is really more of a detective mystery than the usual inventory-object-puzzle based game, and the story is not set in stone, you can influence it in a lot of ways, often without even knowing you just made some important choice.
