I've read that this problem have a lot of people bying this product from steam. I've bought it here on GOG. Can't play the game. So the glitch is at the beginning of the game when plane crashes and Jack tries to surface the ocean, stuff falls from the airplane, he sees the fire circle above the water, kinda swims up, kinda gets up (although it's not visible only the sound makes believe it happend), but at that moment he drowns, and the game is over, I'm not touching any buttons during that cutscene, but it happens over and over again, Jack doesnt makes to surface, drowns, death sound, white screan, and it returns to title screen. Please help! Can't play the game at all!

The bug was never fixed. It only affects some systems - but if it hits you there's nothing you can do aside from:

1) Get a refund from GoG.

2) Find a save online from the entrance to the lighthouse.

3) Wait for the original to be released and play that.

I'd recommend 2 but don't know where to get a save.

I managed to run it on my laptop (at 5 fps, weak laptop) until I got past the opening scene. Here is a save for the entrance to the lighthouse right after escaping the crash.
