SCPM: the 'lack of DRM' excuse doesn't hold much water anymore.
Especially since these games weren't DRMed on Epic in the first place. It's kinda baffling how many DRM-free (AAA-ish) games they have over there that aren't even here. It took the Batman games over a year to show up on gog after they were given away DRM-free on Epic. I can only explain this with a "Out of sight, out of mind" attitude on the publisher's part.
low rated
I always wondered how did you find these old thread? pls tell

well it just shows epic > gog at least for publishers
probably most of them are sold on oh look we have x billion kids playing fortnite , do you want them to buy your game , if yes come to epic store

Is the GOG Forum a front for the Epic Store now or something?

P.S. Thanks EPIC for all those free games, but can you keep your fanfolk under control .... I honestly thought I must have logged into the wrong place.

yeah.... who would have tonked that people would talk about epic in a thread about some games on epic. the humanity!
I loved Farenheit and Heavy Rain. I played Detroit briefly. I like Quantic Dream well enough, despite David Cage being a ponce.

The Galaxy Storefront apparently will be.

Yeah I had read that ..... but do they have to make inroads here as well? Do they know no shame.

Is this a thread about Epic?
I thought it was a thread about two games at Epic.

Well maybe I'm not in the know, and GOGgers are desperate to hear about those two games.

And I must admit, that all these Epic related threads are confusing me by altering reality.

It's a sad state of affair.

P.S. I was hoping to get my Epic Fix every Friday morning, at the Epic Store itself. Now it seems the drug has spread here.

I guess it's because the EGS doesn't have a forum... GOG should charge them money ;-)

Good thinking, I never thought of that.

Maybe that's the real reason for Epic cozying up to GOG .... when we all thought it was the other way around.

If what you are suggesting is true, then things are only going to get more confusing around here once Galaxy starts selling enough Epic games. We won't know our DRM-Free Arthur from our DRM Martha. Bless our Gaming Souls.

The only sad state of affair is that gog seems to have major problems getting to publish games here that are already DRM-free elsewhere. Off the top of my head: The David Cage stuff and the Ghostbusters game on Epic, a whole bunch of SEGA games on Steam... it took how many years for Bioshock to show up here after it was sold DRM-free for less than a buck on Humble? About 5 years, was it?

Well to be fair to GOG, I think the blame lies elsewhere ... the mindset of others.

GOG are like a big banner saying all games should be DRM-Free, and many oppose that notion, while in some cases releasing the odd DRM-Free game elsewhere ... perhaps deliberately to water down what GOG is achieving.

Much in this world is based on the look a of a thing, so I am sure some companies pretend to like DRM-Free to give the impression they support it to the punters.

Like much in life with the big end of town, sowing confusion or chaos pays them dividends.
But hey - wouldn't it be nice if Epic gave away at least some of their free games as GOG ones?

They could earn some nice browning points for that ... mend their name a bit ... especially before they take over GOG.

first gog then the world

well some of their free games are ubi games and you get them both on epic and ubi platform
same could be done with gog

That'd be great.

I'd love to do some GOG Connect w/ some games from Epic to pull them over to additionally GOG.

Stuff like say Control: Ultimate and especially Shenmue 3.
