GOG now advertises the original on the main page. My heart missed a beat.

People could of course grab this version by mistake, thinking it's the 20th anniversary edition (at 1.49€, it would still be a god damn steal).

GOG may still have hopes to get the new version, or the advertisement is meant as a provocation, like last September for My Time at Sandrock.

amok: That's a boiler plate EULA that UBI puts on all their games, beacuse copy-paste is fast and cheap. Apart from rthe EULA, noone, and i mean noone. has reported the game to haev Denuvo that I know about.
A popular game crack site (that I will not name) has confirmed the game has Denuvo. There's more information, but saying anymore would likely be a violation of Gog's policy.

20th edition or original, both are damn good in my eyes.
And thanks for the tip, will grab a copy later.
Ubisoft died in 2012, when they tried to introduce always online DRM with Assassin's Creed II.

They're hoping we'll forget. ;)

It was a couple years earlier.

Ouch. Thanks. ;)

BG&E 20th is now number two most wished for game on GOG.
The game is still strongly wished for, but for some Inconceivable Reason™, people now uncontrollably wish for a bunch of Capcom games.

Those were always at the top of the wishlist. :)

Edit: Some of them. :)

Steam page has been updated and now correctly states that the game has Denuvo instead of Battleye. So Ubisoft just wants to lean fully into DRM instead of just protecting some obscure time trial BS.
I listened to the re-orchestrated music. It's ... good. But quite often, the originals are still better.
