Some variation of "too big to fail"?

neurasthenya: "Great games" is subjective and still, that doesn't excuse the fact that they are still dicks when it comes to their business practices.

how reliable is this? because i encounter many situations where we get information from the web about a problem between two parties, where every party tells amazing things about how innocent they are and how bad the others are. in the end its hard to be sure, who is right. i remember how gearbox tried to discredit sega in the first months after the acm disaster, but in the end it was gearbox fault only.

Bethesda/Zenimax did the exact same thing with Human Head Studios, only that time HH refused to be bought which that resulted in them losing the Prey IP.

They also pulled some really shady shit on some Russian studio they had a publishing deal with.

Face it, they're not saints, they're lowlife scumbags just like the rest of them. They're literally bleeding smaller companies dry to buy them up. Unlike EA, who at least had the decency to put zombie-fied studios they took over out of their misery after a while, Bethesda keeps studios like id around for brand recognition, all the while suing the very people who made these studios what they are. They're literally worse than EA.

I don't think there's one worse than the other, it's all the same if you ask me.

apehater: i mean that bethesda releases great games and compared to other publishers and developers, bethesda is great
Their games are great & I really look forward spending good time and money should their current Steam exclusive titles ever be released here or online-drm-free retail.

But that does not change that whenever I read of them outside of game releases, especially legal department wise, I always get really disgusting images of a crossing of a cartoon villain and a snail. Whatever + they get with their games, the perceived complete lack of dignity eats it up.
