Didn't this happened like a month ago? Did something happen to stop it then started again, or is it still going on?

Well all those links are ancient, so...

It seems Bethesda is doing nothing to stop the issue.

Which will piss off modders and won't support their platform, which will piss of console gamers and go bothers those modders even more, which will alienate both communities. Cool.
Hopefully BethsNet will fail and mods will go back to their rightful place on ModDB and Nexus. Surprised they are not monetizing them yet.

They did actually. Before you upload a mod now, you need to own Fallout 4 on a linked steam account. Should you be found guilty of submitting stolen mods, said steam account will no longer be eligible for uploading mods.

Console owners can install mods from ModDB and Nexus? Nice, always good when a service expands their target audience.

The mod author is also a RPGCodex regular apparently too.

Considering these threads are almost two months old, yes.

Console owners can mod their games, amazing, that must be why these consoles now are updating hardware faster than my PC...

Why would, as a console owner, would you then go to the lengths of fiddling around with files, mods, patches hacks etc. Surely the idea of a console it to remove the techie bit and just be able to play a game?

Because some games have proper support for mods, which is basically "Choose mod, activate mod, play mod", without any of the file fiddling you find so abhorring.

So basically anything that doesn't alter the game then, I am thinking that god awful map that came with Skyrim for instance, or does it do all this automagically? Nope, I would suspect its just more of the, look new shiny dagger or reskins. Actually, maybe best if they are kept on BethsNet then.

No idea about that, still haven't played Skyrim. I was thinking more in the lines of Shadowrun Returns UGC, which only needs basic understanding of folder structure and copying files around.
*ponders* I think this sometimes came up in Nexus but usually was smashed down hard. Maybe ask these guys to handle it? They seem to have the knowhow at least.
