Hey guys,

So me and a friend just build our first gaming PCs. We want to get into a multiplayer game together, but the problem is he doesn't really like older games. For example, he is playing Battlefield 4 right now.

Anyway, do you guys have any suggestions on something we can get together here from GOG? Something modern, so to speak?

I really don't want to install Origin, haha..

Thanks for any suggestions.

Yeah, I have that one and while I did enjoy it I'm not sure it'd be his "cup of tea".

Thanks for the suggestion though.
If you're looking for shooters, the only ones that I can think of are:

Warsow -Free
Rise of the Triad
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Trilogy
Edit:And Far Cry 2

You can also browse all newer multiplayer games here.

Got two more, but not shooters though
Trine 2
Mount and blade warband

Also Terraria if you don't mind the visual aesthetic.

Also Magog by mrkgnao offers a great way to search games on GOG.

That's a neat search tool. Thanks.

Lots of great suggestions, but I'm not sure... I may have to wait for Battlefront or hope Killing Floor 2 comes to GOG. Yeah, I think he mainly prefers FPS games.

Nothing good will come if he just deliberately avoids games though. And a very good question here is: Is battlefield 4 YOUR cup of tea?

I could get into Battlefield 4 sure. I used to be against FPS games because I considered them shallow, but having a busy lifestyle lately makes them more enticing since they are just pick-up-and-play.

For comparison though, I've been playing through KotOR II, Grimrock II, and Battlefront II lately. Apparently I like sequels lol.
Unreal 2004 - best multiplayer FPS ever . I heard Bulletstorm has good co-op but never tried that myself .
No idea if you can still do multiplayer on it...but I absolutely loved teamkilling in the original rainbow six which is on here.
One more vote for Unreal Tournament 2004 it's one of the best fps ever made!
Dead Space 3.
Not as good as the first two but the only one with co-op mp.

There's more than just FPS's that do that. Seems to me your friend wants to have it only his way.

Funny coincidence, indeed.
