csanjuro: I don't think I have played a game from 2021
Same, but I think I will say Cyberpunk 2077, I played this year and frankly is an awesome game. With beautiful graphics, great story, great characters, an awesome sundtrack and some terrible sex scenes, funny coming from a game know for the best sex scenes in any game. Well, still I rexommend it.
I am completely captivated by Inferno - Beyond the 7th Circle.
The intro is just so immersive and atmospheric. World taken over by demons, survival elements, dungeon crawling, discovering/uncovering lore. Not sure I felt so intrigued by a game since Diablo 1. 30 hours in, coming up on the end of my first run, looking forward to running again on harder/hardcore difficulties.
Halo Infinite.
I was going to say Flight Simulator on Xbox, but it probably shouldn't count since it's literally just a port of the 2020 PC game with console optimizations...even the PC version can be played with an Xbox controller. And upon checking it seems that Yakuza Like A Dragon was released in 2020, so misses the cut.

So I'll give the best 2021 release to Forza Horizon 5, open world arcade racing and car collecting perfected.

Then the honorable mentions to MLB The Show 21, The Ascent, Halo Infinite, The Forgotten City, The Artful Escape and The Good Life. It was a good year overall.
