matterbandit: Impressive for a first video, BenKii!

....a tad little increase in the volume of your voice (or decrease in the volume of the game play), but other than that adjustment, it was a good viewing experience.

Also, after all of these years following you around the forums, I finally know the correct way to pronounce your name. All this time in my mind, I've been reading it as "Ben-Keeeeee". xD I prefer your way of saying it. :P

BenKii: I'm glad you liked it matterbandit and yeah I've really got to work out the kinks on my audio balancing.

And has everyone been pronouncing my name that way? I get that the spelling of "Kii" is similar to the Nintendo Wii (pronouncing like a hard "E" sound) but since I made it up back in 2010 I've always said it with a hard "I" sound.
Soooo....Bee-in-Kai-Eye?

jk

Actually figured it was a japanese thing, which would Key. Whatever pops yer cork :)
Could do with a better spoiler warning. Otherwise well put together.

lupineshadow: Wise choice, pronounced the other way, it sounds like the Japanese word for toilet, "benki"
Never heard that one. Otearai, tearai, and toire are the ones I've heard.
I meant to ask you, BenKii:
How many hours/days did it take you to put that video together?
And what did you find the most challenging part about it, for you personally?

For a first video, I find that you did a pretty impressive job, so naturally, I'm full of curiosity and questions! ;)

So for the last year I've been working during my free time on this YouTube channel. I usually have about 3 hours a day to play the game, write, and edit the video. Cyberpunk in particular took a really long time being a huge RPG. Going off of what my save file says, I played about 90 hours. Then I'd say it took me 30 hours to write and edit. So take 120 hours and divide by 3 and that give you 40 days. Yeah, that sounds about right.

Edit: Oh right, most challenging part. Probably just finding the time to write creatively. I usually come up with a lot of ideas but get bogged down by the constant interruptions from the day to day life.

I imagined it was a lot of work, but not as much as you just described. Wow! Thanks for sharing this behind-the-scene insight. :)
high rated
So I've been completely blown away by all the positive feedback and already the channel has received 16 subscribers. That's awesome!

Now I kinda wanted to save this for a surprise for the next video but just for y'all, I'll let you in on it. So to commemorate Fallout 4 finally coming to Gog, I made a Fallout 4 video for the occasion. However, it's not just any video, it's also a giveaway. Hidden in the video will be a Gog key that can be redeemed right here on Gog. Further details on how to find it will be in the description when the video goes public. If you want to be ready for it, I suggest marking your calendar for September 4th at 1PM EST and F5 the channel page until you see the video pop up. I didn't make it easy so look and listen carefully. Hope to see y'all then.
Good luck with your Youtube channel!
Good luck with this new endeavour, and thanks for the giveaway!
Subbed.
Next video is up.

Fallout 4 plus Giveaway. Good luck. :)

I learned too. And a good opportunity to stop me calling you simply Ben, if you wish my friend

Congrats for your channel!
Third video is up! Hope y'all like it. :)

BTW, it would be great after watching the video if you'd subscribe, like, comment, share and all that good stuff so that YouTube will start recommending my videos to other people. And I understand if you don't want to comment on YouTube but you can always comment here about the videos. That helps too because that will bump this thread so other Goglodytes will see my channel.

Up to 31 subscribers right now as of this writing. Thanks everyone for the support. :)
"It just works".

Really like the humour and the fact that it clearly isn't made by a teen pumped on [insert something here] that just has to make everything noisy and sped up. Nicely edited. I can imagine you took great care in choosing what to say and what to include.

You even got me to see the one about FF* even though I can't stand that series (at least not the newer ones).

Thumbs up and keep it up! :D
