Hey everybody, just bought the new Bethesda bundle. I'd love to play some of the Elder Scrolls games I haven't played yet! One problem - I just installed Battlespire, and no matter what I do I can't seem to get it to display correctly. It goes full screen, but the picture is zoomed in to the point that you lose graphics on all the outer edges, including some txt during char creation, as well as your health bar during gameplay. I tried messing with the dosconfig, but I didn't have much luck. The best I could do was set it to not have full screen, but then no matter what I changed the resolution too, the window that popped up to play the game in was way to small on my big monitor. Anyway have any ideas? I know you can change the rendering engine and the scaler, but those are alot of variations, and the few I tinkered with didn't have much of an effect. I'd love to be able to get it to run full screen showing everything, even if it means the aspect is a little off. Thanks in advance!

Really? Has no one else had this problem?
GO into options (ingame) and set it to high-res mode?

Sorry, can't really help you, but you could try here:
http://www.gog.com/forum/elder_scrolls_series

And you could post your config to somewhere like http://pastebin.com/ so that the experst (read: not me ;-)) can have a quick look at it and maybe see what's broken.

Use the start menu shortcut for "DOSBox Configuration" in the submenu for Battlespire and set the following options:

Basic Settings -

Graphic Mode: DDraw
Full Screen: Disabled

Advanced Settings -

Keep Aspect Ratio: Enabled
Scaling Engine: normal2x
Window Resolution: 1280x1024

You'll have a pretty big windowed view that isn't missing parts of the ingame hud that way. Switching to fullscreen will cause problems but the windowed mode will work.

This being the wrong forum aside, you didn't quote the OP so he won't get a new message notification and may never read this.

Check above. Might have a solution for you.
Okay I know this was originally posted in 2015 but I just bought this game and I had the same problem and nothing here helped fix it. I did figure it out and I want to post this to help others. It's real easy.

First if you don't have a shortcut to the game on your desktop uninstall then reinstall and choose the option to have a desktop shortcut. Right click on the shortcut and choose properties . Go to the compatibility tab and check the box "Run in 640 X 480: Click ok and that's it.
