I didn't see this covered in the forums already. Below is the email sent with my redemption for today's free game. It has a bad URL in it. Easily fixed by replacing "localhost" with "gog.com".

You've received a GOG.com gift!
Your friend mqstout (REMOVED-EMAIL), sends you nice little gift from the GOG.com games catalogue. All the necessary information about your gift are to be found below.

Your gift certificate REMOVED-KEY contains
1. Battle Realms + Winter of the Wolf -- Free

Please go to: http://localhost/redeem/REMOVED-KEY
...to redeem your gift certificate and add above games to your account.

Good to know. A lot of us are still waiting for our email to arrive, you just saved us some hassle. Have a cookie.

Not only is the URL bad, they also seem to have sent you REMOVED-KEY in place of the key.

I don't think so. I guess he deleted the key by himself so no one can redeem it.

I don't think it matters too much. Regardless of how the email is worded, the game seems to be automatically added to your account. Actual redemption isn't necessary. The email ends up being little more than notification that it has happened.

The e-mail informing you that you got the game is different. From the looks of it, if you have the game already, you can get a gift code instead and the email mentioned above? So nothing gets added to your library, instead you can redeem it using the link. For someone new to GOG a working link would be good.

If you own the game already, you can find the gift code under order & settings

^That was the funniest thing I've read all day. The bad joke was good enough, but the deadpan response was classic. Well done. Bravo!

Well, I already owned the game. I got the email saying that I should "go to redeem page", but when I looked at my account, the extra gift code was already added on the Order History page, unlike the Sim City 2000, Stalker, Xenonauts extra gift codes, which were never added as unredeemed codes on my order history.

See pics.
