I tried playing BGEE and I couldn't. There were a bunch of usability things that had great potential, but BeamDog kept tinkering with everything so that lots of the new features don't work right. I found it a frustrating experience.

It still may be a better experience than Vanilla, but I really felt that the features over-promised and under-delivered. With Vanilla you get what you get. I actually played BG with the Tutu mod and enjoyed most of it. I still like BG2 better, but that is probably just personal preference. PM me I'd you are still looking for the games.
