I wanted to buy Baldurs Gate 3 but the price has changed from yesterday so it looks it is no longer a discounted offer. On the other hand it still is listed as a discounted game. I am a bit confused is this just a pricing error, has the game run out of the discount (even though Steam still offers it till 10th of July) or are people supposed to think it is discounted but shall buy it for the full price?

The offer was limited until yesterday. This was already communicated in the forum: Summer Sale is here with over 8000 discounts!
I'm in same boat! I planned to buy it today after work week, since summer sale is still on and discount is gone...

That is sad to hear and maybe I need to buy it on steam then. But if that is the case it should be removed from the specials offer banner which now seems to be the case. Thanks for the information - sdaly I was of the impression that GOG will hold the offer as long as steam does.

I'd happily pay 20% more for the game before buying it with DRM.
But that's a decision everyone has to make for themselves.
just wait the next sale... it will probably be even cheaper.

Why would that be the case? Different stores have different deals and plans regarding what goes on sale when, and for how long. Even with Steam being the elephant in the room which no one can ignore, not everything their competitors do completely revolves around that store and what they do.

Aside from that, the store page of every discounted game on GOG has a bit right above the price which gives the date and time when the discount is supposed to end. This is a nice feature (and one which GOG didn't have for most of its existence), so take advantage of it! :)

What is strange is that BG3 Facebook page says the game participates in Summer sale on GOG which is misleading as well

I don't use FB, so I have to ask: does the FB page mention that the game is discounted for the entirety of GOG's summer sale?
If not, it wasn't really misleading.
The game was discounted during the ongoing summer sale. Just not 'til the end.
You simply assumed something, which was never explicitly stated.
I would blame Larian for the misleading advertisement on their FB page and for the limited time Gog offer .

Well, it doesn't say it's for full time of Summer sale... But it does seem like that from poster
