just a suggesting for game video setting, it would be very good if yal could add the borderless windowed mode to the setting , as a streamer we have to use program like borderless gaming to achieve this so that our in game chat overlay shows for single monitor streaming, the fake full screen won't work for us because most all overlays rely on borderless windowed mode

Does it not have that? I can't remember but it's pretty common. Either way I don't think this is the place to get the developer's attention.

I would consider borderless to be fake fullscreen. What do you mean by fake fullscreen?

I don't have it, but Divinity Original Sin 2 has "windowed", "fullscreen", and "fake fullscreen" modes, the last of which is in fact borderless windowed.
and here i was thinking baldurs gate was optimized for the streaming community... one of the main reasons to avoid such a game for me....

Who are you talking to? How are the game settings in my single player games on my personal computer relevant to you?

One thing has nothing to do with the other.

Well 1st it's not single player only. It has multiplayer too. Same as Divinity Original Sin 2.
And 2nd what in the world are you talking about? He's just looking for the display option to run in a borderless window vs exclusive fullscreen mode. That has nothing to do with how many players the game is for. It's just a window mode in desktop environments & can be pretty useful for example if you have multiple monitors.

Modern games don't even need dedicated fullscreen mode with the DXGI flip model. To hear they don't even include borderless when it is the preferred way to do things is disturbing to me.

I just looked it up. They do support it. They are just calling it fake fullscreen instead.

excellent. Thanks for the info. I'll still consider buying when they complete the game.

I read the OP again:
"just a suggesting for game video setting, it would be very good if yal..."

Is he talking to the BG3 game developers on the GOG general USER forum? Should I be a mind reader? Assume that someone just throws some thoughts on some internet space without much thought?

Maybe youse should read what's there and not what you think that it might mean. I replied to someone talking to US, me included.

I guess I prefer to use common sense.

Don't feel like writing a meaningful reply but want to have the last word? Fine, I can play:

I was just saying the truth.

It is a shame though
I had wishlisted the game some time ago, so was curious about this post. Unfortunately, I have nothing to add lol.

@teceem Is there a reason to needlessly stir the pot? A lot of users are not going to have the perfect post. Try to be a little more understanding, it makes life so much more pleasant for everyone. :)

Since nobody else has mentioned it, the game-specific forum for Baldur's Gate 3 is here. I don't know how often Larian personnel check that forum, but it's probably more likely they'll see posts about the game there than here in GOG general discussion. :)
