Time flies when you're having fun... It's sadly already the final stretch until this year's AGDQ is over. Still some time though to catch a couple of sweet runs here.

As dtgreene mentioned above, you can watch stuff you might have missed on the official YouTube channel. Also, if you are interested in speedruns in general, just go to r/speedrun for all kinds of relevant info on the subject (including a schedule of upcoming marathons in the sidebar).

Donations are at $1.7 million right now, but as GDQs usually go, the final amount should be considerably higher still. We'll see if the ongoing trend continues and they'll surpass the previous year's total again.

Go watch something :)

I'm always a little sad to see it end. Really enjoying the Mario Odyssey run going on right now. The movement tech in this game is fantastic.
Games available on GOG that were run at this year's AGDQ:
Hollow Knight
Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
Ultimate Doom
Doom 2: Hell On Earth (apparently the full title of Doom 2, which is bundled with Final Doom)
Crypt of the Necrodancer
Cuphead
Divinity: Original Sin 2

Any others that I missed? Any I listed that are not actually available here?
First off, thanks chevkoch ( and by proxy dtgreene) for the AGDQ thread.

I know it's not quite done yet, but I'd like to give a few shouldn't miss suggestions:
Ninja Five-O: execution wasn't perfect, but a great game and commentary.
Mohawk & Headphone Jack: PJ is always worth the late nights.... If you can handle the mode 7.
Avoid the Noid: for classic Mike Uyama, seriously he hits the GDQ nostalgia bug good.
And last but not least Tomb Raider II: SmoothOperative managed to blind side me with that one. I didn't have high expectations, but that run was killer regardless.

Please pop in with your own faves.

You could see at the end the exhaustion setting in a bit for the runner, even if it didn't seem to affect his performance; keeping up the concentration and high level of execution for a longer run like that is quite something. It's really a blessing we get to watch the best speedrunners in such a tight format, 24/7 for a whole week. GDQs are a celebration for what's brilliant in games, I feel.

I'm glad people are enjoying the marathon as much as I do. Thanks for the suggestions, I've started with the Awful Games block now on YouTube - PJ is always fantastic to watch (I love the dry humor and his easy-going attitude), looking forward to see what he does with his run. Yeah, Avoid the Noid: a perfect fit for the block, gotta appreciate an obscure Domino's Pizza video game.

Of Serious Sam Classic: The First Encounter I only caught a couple of minutes, but for this co-op effort I wanna go back and watch it on YouTube for sure, looked like a lot of fun. There're a lot of other ones I missed of course. Also, I'm hearing that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City was a stellar run.

And on the charity side of things, this AGDQ again generated more donations than all previous ones: $2,397,767.51 as it stands now. Incredible.
