It is a very interesting project. It is fork of "Julius" which is a more conservative mod that adds some quality of life options, widescreen etc.. but keeping the original game intact.
Augustus tries to add changes from the later games and some things not originaly present in the Caesar III title. The last time I tried both mods I had a very good impression and sense of polishing.
They can be used easily, without overwriting anything, into the original game as an alternate exe. I have them as aditional exes under Galaxy. So all can stay clean and elegant.
