Not sure how I feel about this as Atari has been very hit and miss about DRM free releases as we are missing the DLC for Atari 50, a number of Recharged titles, Yars Rising, and others.
Seems like small publishers and or developers really living a precarious life nowadays

Can't afford a slight mishaps or a some dud release in a row
Well that sucks. These things never go down well and I rather liked the oddball offerings of the different SteamWorld games.

Not having to do with these news directly but Apparently Atari also bought the rights of Transport Tycoon from Chris Sawyer last year,
I guess it's better than going under, but I'm glad we got the Steamworld Heist sequel before this.

Now I'm curious as to why. Seeing how they've mishandled the likes of RCT for at least the past two decades, I don't expect to see much coming from this.

I know this is going to be confusing, but that was a previous Atari which has since collapsed and regenerated. If you've ever watched Doctor Who, you'll understand.
RTC 3 returned to GOG when Atari got the rights back. I doubt the Steamworld games will be removed, or just temporarily.
I fear there will be much more consolidation in the next 1-2 years.

I only dig the 2 dig games, because all their other games were genres that I'n not interested in.

Hopefully that doesn't mean that there will never be a third steamworld dig game.
