Some stupid people think I should support GOG to ban Russian, because China might invade Taiwan.
Fuck you.
If China invade Taiwan and I am survived after that, I will still think it's wrong to ban Russian or Chinese customers to buy DRM-free games.

You could get all gogs games then smuggle them over to russia and sell them out the boot of a car with printed manuals and covers onto their USB drives.

You could call yourself USBProject like that other famous polish company that started off with the same business plan.
I wonder if anyone can remember who they were. :P

Hey I hope not! I won't be able to enjoy Taiwanese movies if that happens.
Just kidding, I know this is no laughing matter.

From a cynical pov, Taiwan is a major manufaturer of chips, cpu boards, etc.,.. China already had some difficulty to produce all the components needed...Plants need energy, which is now more expensive every year... It wouldn't be so bright a future as a computer user
Don't know what all those cancel culture idiots expect to achieve with this measure.
To harm their own revenue? To make people in the sanctioned countries hate them? To convince said people to stop giving a damn about licensed games and just pirate everything? To convince said people that NATO members hate all Russians and Belorussians, and Lukashenko, Putin & co are right in everything, or at least lesser evil in comparison? Cause that's what happening, far as I can see all around.

Appreciate the commitment, and likewise wish the situation in China and Taiwan wouldn't escalate to something as bad as this conflict had been. Few years ago I had an impression that relations finally started to thaw, what's with meetups and trade deals, cultural exchanges, even that panda loan thing. I didn't hear anything near like hatemongering nationalists coming to power, starting arming like crazy and attacking Chinese people of different convictions, or PRC seizing some contested ground, or armed insurgencies, did someone hostile get elected or Xi decided to waste all that deescalating effort and just muscle in? Oh, never you mind. Thanks, and I wish you and whole Chinese people, apart or together, peace.
Another purely political thread that I have to lock unfortunately. The fact that GOG decided to take a stance regarding the situation of Ukraine doesn't nullify our forum CoC.
