I am getting really pissed with the gaming industry lately. Microtransactions, DRM, always online and now we have games that come with the spyware installed? WTF is this bullshit?

Anyone know of a way to find out if any GOG games have spyware like that?

Apparently, some games on GOG do have RedShell, yes. I think some have had it patched out though.

What about it's Unity spyware?

Unity is used by like half of all released Indie games (or more or less).

Not sure though if the data gathering of Unity can be turned off (by the dev or even later by the user) or if you even can detect how and if it gathers data about you.

I guess it would be part of the new GDPR legislation to at least inform you about these things. Not sure if they comply with it though.
