I ask this because while I know there can be twitchiness about ROM's I think this is worth discussing for the Mobile space. I mean for a bright, shining moment in the late 2000's, before the iPhone made it big in Japan and South Korea, there were legit remakes, remasters and all new games of pre-existing franchises. Some games may have been all new too.
These mobile games may have released only in Japan and South Korea; however not all games tried too hard to measure up on the 3D end. A few of the mobile games were also in 2D and looked quite good. War Of the Genesis had "Suplementary Story" in South Korea while three all new Last Bible games released on Mobile in Japan with another previously released on Gameboy only thus getting a facelift on Mobile.
Thankfully the mobile exclusive Last Bible games are up on the Japanese Switch eShop for sale under g-mode which I plan to buy.
So this all leads to me asking given some of these games ARE good and exclusively mobile is there any place to get the ROM's for the delisted one's or is it even possible? If it is, is there ANY preservation effort underway?
I wanted to buy "Supplementary Story" when I visited South Korea but it wasn't possible because it was limited to their market and they had better phones at the time. This was before the iPhone mind you
Asia's mobile market was a complete Galapagos sphere.
Officially, no. Unofficially, Yarrr!

There is an emulator and there are roms, but i can't remember where or other details. And most of them are playable, but not all. If you spend your time searching, you may end up stumbling upon them as i have once upon a time. All i can do is confirm that those old mobile games still exist somewhere out there, lost deep within the internetz.

Would love to get a legit copy of Doom RPG and maybe that Japan only Compilation of Final Fantasy VII game, "Before Crisis".

Have also noticed it's extremely difficult to determine what kind of phone/ tablet you need to own in order to be able to purchase certain slightly older games on Google Play. :(

Also, a lot of those games are getting delisted anyway, so moot.

As #3 mentioned, there is YARR, but I wouldn't touch that with a 10 foot mobile antenna.

On Google Play, even currently supported titles can be a PITA to figure out. There was even this one time where a game I was eyeing wouldn't be allowed in any of my phones (older ones I don't throw away and a 2019 Xiaomi one), nor virtual machines, and even after talking directly to the developers to figure out why GP wasn't allowing me to pay for, it was still a chore.

Yes, mobile games off mobile are indeed possible through various means such as cloud gaming services and remote game streaming platforms. These technologies allow users to play high-quality games on their mobile devices by streaming the game data from powerful servers over the internet. Services like Google Stadia, NVIDIA GeForce Now, and Xbox Cloud Gaming (formerly known as xCloud) enable players to enjoy console-quality games on smartphones and tablets, leveraging the processing power of remote servers. This capability has become more accessible after smart SIM activation, https://smartsimregistration.info/ which enhances connectivity and data speeds, crucial for smooth gameplay experiences.

Furthermore, advancements in 5G technology have significantly improved latency and bandwidth, making it feasible to stream graphically intensive games seamlessly on mobile devices. This trend marks a significant shift towards mobile gaming becoming more akin to traditional console gaming, offering players greater flexibility and access to a wider range of gaming experiences on the go.

Did you even read my OP? I am asking about the Mobile games that preceded the iPhone, and were exclusives in Japan and South Korea. You know, good EXCLUSIVE original content.
I don't give a rats ass about streaming a console quality experience on Mobile, that was NOT my question. It seems you quoted me then it feels like you just botted how great game streaming is, NOT what I was asking!

Why are you arguing with a bot?
