I don't really know what to say. See it for yourself.
It will be a psychological survival horror RPG.

"Forty years ago, I set out to make a personal art picture that could hopefully influence generations of viewers for years to come. Today, I'm joined by new daredevils, a team who want to make an interactive version of Apocalypse Now, where you are Captain Benjamin Willard amidst the harsh backdrop of the Vietnam War. I've been watching video games grow into a meaningful way to tell stories, and I'm excited to explore the possibilities for Apocalypse Now for a new platform and a new generation."
Coppola's film studio company will be involved and they brought on board some industry veterans, including Montgomery Markland who was a producer for Wasteland 2 and Torment: Tides of Numenera.
I don't know what to say. On one hand it sounds insane to adapt Apocalypse Now of all things, but on the other hand wasn't Spec Ops: The Line an adaptation of Heart of Darkness already? So there is some precedent for this story to work in a game. If they go the old-school CRPG style dare I say this may very well be a pretty great and unique game? Let's see.
