Is there a mod that lets you play Age of Empires 1 in 2's engine out there? Been wanting to revisit the first one for a while, but it's kinda dated in comparison.

UPatch HD doesn't let you play in the AOE 2 engine, but it will probably give you most of the things you're looking for. http://upatch-hd.weebly.com/

I'm not aware of anywhere that sells it digitally, so your only option would be to obtain it on disc. Places like Ebay and Amazon would be likely to have copies for sale.

Couple more questions:
Is there a hotkey for centering on the latest attack when the horn blows?

Is this optimal farm placement? I've been building more tightly so far.
