I've found that on my system, windows 7 64 bit, gtx 980ti, 16gb ram, i7 3770k, I can not get any older Lithtech engine games to work

no one lives forever, blood 2, and aliens vs predator 2 all fail to work. I can launch the game and get to the menu where you select the level of game detail you want, but as soon as the game starts (and the lithtech.exe is used) i get a black screen and then a crash saying "mfc application has stopped working"

I can find no information on how to fix this, only a bunch of people complaining that they don't know what to do about it. Could it be a HID device issue? and if so, i'm afraid to deactivate my hid devices because i'm afraid it'll knock out my keyboard and mouse and i'll be screwed, though i'm not sure if thats actually a possibility

EDIT:

FIXED IT: G-sync was causing my problems. I turned it off for the lithtech.exe in the nvidia control panel and the game started working. You should also cap your framerate at 60, because going over causes audio to cut off too early

I can confirm that this works with both no one lives forever - game of the year edition and Aliens vs Predator 2

no i haven't, but i'm not sure those suggestions help much. i've tried checking compatibility mode boxes and stuff before
Is it an issue with multi-processor pcs? If you set affinity to only one core, does that fix it?

I wouldn't think it would help much, but the only way I'm aware of you can force a single core affinity is by using the task manager... And the default task manager won't remember changes you do for priority or cpu affinity...

Make shortcut with -32bit argument.
or
Make batch file to launch program with /AFFINITY value set.

Either should work, no?

I really have no clue... Maybe there's a way but i can never figure it out with MS's tools or programs.
