But that would require actual work and cost money/time for them!
Much better to sell people their own hard-earned resources and spent time..

thats a typical lego type game, they give the very basic engine and everything else has to be made by the customers

Don't spend too much time overthinking it...it is not just this comment, it is nearly every single comment of mine. I dared to be on a discussion forum and have critical opinions regarding GOG's direction/DRM, thus for a few months give or take I am downvoted by some loser(s) and/or their bot(s).
