I scrape off the games I find in sales for less than 2 dollars. Call me a cheapwad but I'll eventually have a huge collection of games that I barely paid much for. Win-Win. Although my library will be a lot of late 90s/early 2000s overlooked games. I can't be the only one who does this?

Being cheap isn't bad, you being as efficient with your money as you can be. Great game but costs $12? I'll wait till it's $6, if it never gets under sometimes I'll just acquire it and wait for a sale. Sorry guys but food rent and health and other things take priority. The other companies will get their money, just not right now at the current prices. Who knows.

Afterwards (e.g. "Ok so in 2015 I used this much money on GOG games, interesting..."), or as some kind of limit beforehand how much money one is allowed to use on them per month?
I am not too interested to keep track how much money in the past I've used on games, in fact I'd rather not even think about it afterwards. :) As for future, the limit depends on how good I consider my monetary situation to be, e.g. how many other bills I need to pay the same month, or if I am running low on money, or I am supposed to save money on something in the future...
