I mean...it was always easy to do. Still, happy to see some positive changes again for once. Good going. Don't stop now, GOG.

You mean easy to find each game specific forum?
Nice, another good thing, these forum links.

Easy for GOG to implement.

Except for "happened so fast" I would subscribe to this post. :)

Seeing that links to game fora have been - FINALLY! - added, you may well be right, so keep at it!

surfersurfer: [...] The problem seems to be that GOG staff or developers don't buy much games on their own site, they are more working in site backend, otherwise they should have realized in very short time that this thing has to be fixed.
I'll bog out on a limb and say that the GOG staff is permanently logged in, and probably via Galaxy to boot.

Uilos: [...] Looking forward to list view being tweaked and some filters being added, and it would be nice if genres could be listed as well :) It's a bit much to scroll through 40+ pages of a sale, so if we could split it up some, for example sort by category/genre and such, it would be very helpful :) [...]
[emphasis added]

You can do that, see attached screenshot. The only limitation is that you can only pick one genre at a time.

And almost forgot, looks like the choice for List View on the catalogue now persists (though the page starts loading in Grid View, and changes to List before it's fully loaded/rendered), and without affecting the View choice in one's library. Cheers, GOG, nice to see this one not taking long.

I think they meant showing the genre tags on the list entry for each title. Kinda like how list view in the old catalogue page used to show the star rating for each game in addition to what's there in the current iteration. (There might've been more "extra" info besides; I can't recall.) I wouldn't mind if the GOG devs brought that back, too, seeing as how there's plenty of unused space between the image and title on the left and the price info on the right -- especially when the filters sidebar is collapsed.

Yes :) There is a very big empty space there to no use, and it would be nice if the genre could be added there since most people haven't heard of every game and might just scroll past a game they would have loved due to the name making you think it is a different kind of game than it actually is, and having the genre visible would make it more likely the people who would like that game would click to check out the game's store page :)

I was waiting for changes like this for 5 years.
It was so disappointing when gog gave us this clumsy web design instead of user friendly changes.
One of simple changes done, and lot to go. For example changelog access before someone buy a game to make him sure that he is buying what he thinks it is and price/discount sorting in shop.

HunchBluntley: I noticed this morning that they had slightly overhauled the game pages in the last day or two (they seem to be a bit more compact now), but I had missed that little detail. Finally!
Yes, we've done some changes n game pages - sorry for not letting you know earlier, during Winter Sale things are a bit crazy.
As you mentioned, we've added links to game forums. Aside from that the whole right side of the game page with basic information about the game, as well as game features and languages has been compacted so all this is better visible. We've also made the languages list fully visible without the need to click to see all of them.

The system requirements is also kind of a basic information but it's on the left side. What about switching sides with the "Why buy on GOG" stuff which isn't basic information?

Also, I would like to be able to click on the average rating value in the top bar and be able to directly scroll to the review section. That would be nice.

Have you guys thought of placing the system requirements somewhere else instead of the bottom? It's kind of a hassle to have to scroll all the way down just so you can read the requirements, especially with games that have different editions.

That's pretty much a standard place where system requirements are usually put. We will be monitoring this and see if it makes sense to change that. Thanks for feedback.
And still no word about the manual sorting.
I'd like to slap whoever thought autoplaying videos and not even putting a setting in our account to turn it off was a good idea but it's not as bad as it could've been.
