I really like GOG Galaxy, and prefer to use it due to the automatic updates and ease of use. However, my internet is very very slow, so I would like to setup my games to download when I'm not using my computer (like at bedtime). I do this with Steam all the time. The game downloads fine without any need for input from me. When I click to run the game for the first time, often it needs to install things like libraries, codecs, directx, etc. and these things trigger Windows' "are you sure you want to run this program" feature. This isn't a problem because I'm there.
I've noticed though that Galaxy does this when the game is being downloaded; when the game finishes downloading, it begins to install these things and windows will ask me if I want to or not. Sometimes certain codecs or programs will actually need me to interact with them too. This isn't a problem if I'm at my computer, but it obviously is if I'm away or asleep. I've had issues where games don't install correctly because I didn't see the windows prompt and windows automatically blocked it. If I disable that, then things don't get blocked, but downloads halt when I need to interact with one of the installers.
Is there a way to postpone this "install" phase until I first play the game (like steam does)?
Thanks a lot!
