What's wrong with that? :)

Seriously thinking about burning stuff to DVDs again and putting the disks into cases. Everything on external drives does concern me.

Nothing wrong with that, if you have the space, time and passion to maintain such collection. Myself, I'm more happier in having the installers on external drives than dealing with optical disks.

Why are you concerned with external drives?

Oldest one is I believe 7 years old now. I buy a new one every xmas and rotate them. I wait for them to fail.

Rather have something physical as well.

You should have same backups on two different drives, at least. Probably two 2TB drives are enough.

I have what I can afford. :)

I have 9 external drives and they're all pretty much full.
