Also, they're not exactly developped by Frogwares, but by Waterlily, their little sister.

Would the Quantic Dream games count as 3D detective games or story based adventure?

Discworld Noir is a detective game, gut it is not 3D in the way that you can look under tables and such, but an even bigger issue is probably that you need Windows XP to run it I think it is. So unless you got a Windows XP machine you need to run Windows XP through emulation somehow.
I liked the Under a Killing Moon game with Tex Murpy. The most "detective like" adventure game I have played. But you do not go around looking all over the place in a 3D environment though.

(Funny you are the second person to say UAKM is not 3D, but I thought it was - 3D environments where you have to look under tables and on top of bookshelves, to find every clue, etc)

Does anyone know of any other games like this? Ones in which you play as a detective or investigator, and you have to search for clues, piece together evidence, solve puzzles, etc? I'm not really interested in point-and-click adventures, unless they are fully 3D where I can explore the environment.
So, with all of that being said, what do you all think? Any other games out there (not just on GoG) that may scratch my itch for 3D exploration, detective-type gaming?
Thanks!
The Sherlock Holmes game that's on GOG is also pretty awesome, it has a triple interface that you can single-key toggle from first person mode, then to third person, then to point n click rendered in 3D mode. You can play the game in whichever mode you like or toggle between them whenever you want depending on what works best for you, it's a really nice interface.
The game series which includes Post Mortem, Still Life, Still Life 2 is a great point and click detective series also which I can recommend as well.
There's also The Blackwell Bundle. This episodic game series is retro styled and quite short with each title in the series taking no more than about a day's gaming to complete. It is more cartoonish in nature than the other titles I mentioned, but might appeal to you depending on your own personal tastes. There are 5 games in the series, 4 in the bundle and the 5th title is separate (Epiphany).
Those are all games/game series I've had some personal experience with actually playing. Of the bunch, Tex Murphy is the star of the show. I liked the Gabriel Knight games as well.
If you go to the GOG "Games" page and type "detective" in the search box a tonne of other suggestions come up. I own some of the other games but haven't actually played them (Runaway series, Syberia series, Cognition, Police Quest series, Gemini Rue, Broken Sword series, Resonance to name a few.
The Nancy Drew games seem like they might be good, would like to try those some day also.

It's not puzzle-heavy, and is mostly about 3d exploration. Horror-wise, I found it much more effective than the overrated Amnesia. The controls are a bit clumsy, though.
I enjoyed it quite a lot, but haven't tried their commercial sequel (One Late Night: Deadline), which I suppose use the same mechanics.

Gonna add something not 3D, but very well made: the Women's Murder Club games (i think there are 5 of them). Unexpectedly, i had a lot of fun playing them.
